When it is available?

Bitrix24 is available now.

How much does it cost?

The basic U.S. service, including CRM features, is available for free, for up to 12 users. Additional users run $25 a month in batches of 12. At $99, the Standard edition boosts storage from 5GB to 100GB and adds customer branding along with enhanced IP access control while eliminating the user ceiling. $199 a month snags all features including clock and time management, plus a custom domain.

Where in the World is it available?

Bitrix is available globally, but it is primarily marketed for English-speaking customers. A German version is available at with French and Spanish on-premise versions available through partners.

Bitrix24 comes with a deep content management heritage from its Russian developers. This secure, managed control of documents is core to its DNA. But the product reaches well beyond content management, providing the richest set of features available on the market at its pricing level, which for small businesses, is essentially free.

Bitrix24 also includes collaborative functions, such as human resources (HR) and customer relationship management (CRM). Project managers will appreciate full project management capabilities like Gantt Charts for visualizing individual or team tasks. Bitrix24 does not include PERT or critical paths. That said, the way they think about tasks as integrated, collaborative work is very impressive. They even include checklists as an active feature, not just a text layout capability.

It is this attention to detail about how the collaborative work environment fits together, as well as the wealth of ways people need to collaborate, that sets Bitrix24 apart. In other tools, users would need to leave the collaboration environment to comment on customers or manage tasks. To this point, rather than integrate with OneDrive, Dropbox or Box, Bitrix24 offers their own file storage and synchronization.

This is a designed environment that recognizes just how broad collaboration is within even the smallest organizations. The integration of real-time voice and video, along with the variety of other synchronous and asynchronous features should put Bitrix24 on most small and medium business collaboration technology evaluation short lists. The somewhat disconnected way of handling invoices, and accounting support in general, is the product’s weakest link.
