My new article, Scenario Planning the Future, was just published in Chief Learning Officer magazine. You can read the entire article (and issue) here.
Three key points for learning through scenarios:
- Naming uncertainty as a way of recognizing uncertainty and then engaging them
- Scenarios create a context for understanding internal and external business dynamics (in other words, a context for evaluating current and future action that makes learning possible)
- Scenarios inform action through their context, but more importantly, they offer a way to evaluate action. The scenarios themselves can learn as you grapple with their implications through decisions and choices.
