Summary
I found the black SOUNDPEATS CC3 Pro best suited to sports and podcasts in places where awareness matters. Physical buttons, wireless charging, Find My Earbuds, Bluetooth 6.0, and IPX6 resistance make a useful package, but movement around the ear changes sound quality and volume, and music trails similarly priced in-ear earbuds. The $89.99/$99.99 (Amazon) SOUNDPEATS clipons come with a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects for eligible authentic products purchased from its website or authorized sellers.
SOUNDPEATS CC3 Pro Review
My audio reviews at Serious Insights keep returning to the relationship between fit and sound. From SOUNDPEATS’ GoFree2 ear-hook design to the PearlClip and POP Clip families, I have explored different ways to keep audio close without sealing off the ear canal. The SOUNDPEATS CC3 Pro continues that exploration with a clip-on design, physical buttons, and an ambitious collection of audio features. The black model currently sells for $69.99 on both SOUNDPEATS’ website and Amazon, though their listed reference prices differ: $89.99 on SOUNDPEATS and $99.99 on Amazon, as of November 2, 2026.
I found the CC3 Pro most useful for listening to sports and podcasts while walking around airports and shopping centers, where awareness matters and audio accompanies other activities. That use also exposed the central compromise. The clips solved the fit problem I have encountered with open-ear earbuds that wrap over the ear, and I never felt they were going to fall off. They did, however, move enough to change the sound profile and volume. My evaluation ultimately rests on how much attention those adjustments demand from an otherwise useful audio companion.
What we like

Pros
- Open-ear awareness and a secure-feeling alternative to ear hooks
- Physical button controls
- Hours of listening, plus wireless and fast charging
- Bluetooth 6.0 and IPX6 water resistance
- Find My Earbuds and app-based audio options

I appreciate the Soundpeats CC3 Pro most when I want audio to stay part of my environment. Listening to sports coverage or a podcast while moving through an airport or shopping center made sense in a way that critical music listening did not. The clip-on arrangement also addresses my difficulty getting some over-the-ear open-ear designs to fit properly. SOUNDPEATS specifies a weight of approximately 0.19 ounces (5.5 grams) per earbud, with soft liquid silicone around a flexible memory-steel structure. The clips felt secure enough that falling off never became a concern, even though maintaining the best listening position remained an issue.
I like the physical button. It is a practical feature on a product meant to move with its wearer, and I value it more than another audio-processing option. SOUNDPEATS assigns playback, volume, track, and call functions to button presses and lets owners customize controls in its app. The appeal for me is straightforward: a physical control gives the interaction a defined place and action. With earbuds that already require occasional repositioning, that tangible control is welcome.
I listened for hours without hitting an out-of-battery condition, the most useful battery observation I can offer from everyday use. I didn’t run a battery stress test or measure a full discharge cycle. SOUNDPEATS rates playback at up to 10 hours per charge and up to 44 hours with the case, and a 10-minute charge provides up to three hours of listening. Those figures are dependent on volume, codec, and other enabled features. I welcome wireless charging alongside USB-C, as the added flexibility improves everyday convenience.

I count Bluetooth 6.0 and the IPX6 water-resistance rating as positives in a product suited to movement. The former gives the Soundpeats CC3 Pro a solid connectivity advantage, while the latter supports its role as a workout companion (or for those of us who live in Seattle, WA). SOUNDPEATS also includes a two-device multipoint connection, although it cannot operate at the same time as LDAC. The IPX6 rating applies only to the earbuds and doesn’t make them suitable for swimming, showering, or immersion.
I like that SOUNDPEATS includes Find My Earbuds in the app. Small wireless audio devices benefit from a way to locate them, and I welcome that utility even though I didn’t test lost-earbud recovery. The app also lists adjustable EQ, Dynamic EQ, Spatial Audio, Privacy Mode, and Game Mode. I appreciate the range of options, but the locating feature stands out because it addresses a practical ownership problem. My enthusiasm for its inclusion is separate from any claim about its effectiveness, just as the presence of audio settings does not establish an audible improvement.
Sustainability
I found a product-specific sustainability claim on the CC3 Pro’s Amazon listing, which identifies Global Recycled Standard certification and states that the product contains at least 50% recycled material. Amazon also associates the certification with safer chemicals and worker well-being. I welcome the disclosure, but the listing does not identify which components account for the recycled content. The packaging, however, still needs work. It was plastic-wrapped and contained a non-recyclable packing tray. The charging cable (which should really be optional now) was also in a non-recyclable bag.
What could be improved
Cons
- Movement changes sound quality and perceived volume
- Music performance trails similarly priced in-ear earbuds
- The CC3 Pros deserve a better name

The fit needs to hold the speaker in its best position more consistently. My issue was never that the earbuds felt like they were about to fall off; they stayed attached while slipping around the ear just enough to alter the audio profile and perceived volume. Head movements and walking both caused the earbuds to move. With clip-on earbuds, secure attachment can still produce an inconsistent listening experience. Repositioning restored the relationship between the speaker and my ear, but the more than occasional need to make that adjustment distracted from listening. I would like the design to keep the best-sounding position as effectively as it generally secures the clips.
Music was just OK compared with similarly priced in-ear earbuds, including many SOUNDPEATS models I have reviewed. The company packs the CC3 Pro with substantial audio tech, including a 0.47-inch (12 mm) dual-magnet dynamic driver and a 0.35-inch (9 mm) piezoelectric ceramic driver, plus LDAC support and Spatial Audio processing. In my experience, too much of that audio ambition gets lost in the open-ear presentation and the changes movement causes. I tried to test LDAC but couldn’t. I was able to test aptX and found the quality difference hard to discern. Overall, the music experience gave me less reason to choose these than the convenience for sports and podcasts.
Soundpeats needs to create more rational product lines with a stronger brand identity. I get “Pro.” I don’t know what CC3 means. I do understand the company’s earlier “clip” branding, though, and I think they should have extended it to these buds. But even there, Pearl Clip and Clip1 don’t seem related. And what does it mean to have two “Pro” clipons? Soundpeats offers some very impressive tech for the price, but it would do better to focus marketing around clear brands and differentiated features. Right now they sell too many styles without a clear reason for consumers to wade through models.
SOUNDPEATS CC3 Pro: The bottom line
I find the SOUNDPEATS CC3 Pro useful as an audio companion when awareness matters, especially for sports coverage and podcasts while walking. Physical buttons, wireless charging, Find My Earbuds, and IPX6 resistance contribute to that role. However, the recurring need to reposition the clips keeps the experience from being as effortless as I would like. I would consider them for workouts and everyday movement when some drift in sound and volume is acceptable; for music, I would favor the similarly priced in-ear alternatives that have delivered a more satisfying experience in my reviews.
