Amazon Prime Day 2025 Deals
At Serious Insights, we don’t usually track hardware vendor news, and rarely, deals or discounts. All of our reviews include a link to Amazon if the product is available there (and yes, we receive a small payment for those clicks that lead to a purchase), but we’re a little behind on the reviews as new products continue to come in post-CES. So here are a few of the items with Prime Day Deals and short reviews as we never recommend anything we haven’t tried ourselves.

Rokid Max 2 AR Glasses

Summary
The Rokid Max 2 AR Glasses deliver a sharp, vivid full‑HD image per eye via Sony micro‑OLED panels running at 120 Hz, with a generous 50° field of view and up to 600 nits brightness seen through polarized lenses or an included blackout shield . They weigh in at a lightweight 75 g and include diopter adjustment dials for −6 D myopia correction—huge if you wear prescription lenses (which you don’t need to wear) . Comfort is good, though the design remains fairly chunky compared with sleeker AR glasses. The built-in speakers are OK, but leak sound at high volume. I prefer using earbuds rather than the built-in speakers, especially when using them in public or when I want a truly immersive experience. Three is no standalone model. The USB-C port must be plugged into a device with a video signal, either the Rokid Station 2 device for gaming and streaming, or a PC or tablet, that recornizes the glasses as a display. I watched videos on a plane recently via an iPad Air. I had to plug and unplug between videos because of an accessory incompatibility, but otherwise, a very good experience (I was in an emergency exit window so no issue manipulating the extra kit). Overall, the Max 2 is a solid entertainment tool for gaming and video in tethered setups—but don’t expect standout audio or full independence without Rokid’s companion hardware.
Lepro TB1 Al Smart Table Lamp

Summary
The Lepro TB1 smart lamp sports a futuristic triple‑ring design, polished finish and vibrant RGB + IC LEDs that deliver vivid rainbow‑chasing effects and smoothly tuned white light from warm (~2000 K) to cool (~5700 K) . Setup is quick and largely plug‑and‑play, with Wi‑Fi and app configuration that many found easy to manage Lepro’s LightGPM AI assistant can generate mood‑based lighting from simple voice or text prompts (e.g. “make it cozy for reading”). The lamp works with Alexa and Google Home, though color fidelity and voice control is less precise than using the app directly, with which you can draw light patterns directly. I would like to see more pre-sets and a more intuitive app, though its works OK after spending some time mastering the quirks. For around $75, it strikes a compelling balance of expressive design, smart customization and playful ambient lighting. Every time I see it I think about the movie Contact. If that doesn’t “ring” a bell, look it up!
KYY 15.6″ Laptop Screen Extender

Summary
The KYY X90D Laptop Screen Extender brings a surprising level of polish to portable dual-screen setups, pairing twin 15.6″ Full HD IPS panels within a sleek aluminum frame and a fold-out kickstand that feels sturdy and travel-ready. Setup is straightforward—just plug in a USB‑C cable (plus power if needed), install drivers if required, and you’re typically running in extended or mirror mode in minutes. Color reproduction is a clear step up from the X90A, achieving roughly 81% sRGB coverage, though brightness still lags, manageable indoors, not ideal for outdoor environments. On-screen control buttons are placed near the hinges, hampering quick adjustments depending on the configuration. I really like the triangle version, which looks like a Star Trek TOS conference room display, only sleeker. I love that on modern devices (USB-C, Thunderbolt) a single USB-C cable lights up both screens without external power. It folds compactly into a standard laptop case size, and the price (at about $250 street, $350 full retail) delivers excellent productivity value for road warriors or remote professionals. Would love to see KYY drop the plastic wrap around the box.
Benfei Accessories

I have been evaluating several BENFEI accessories.. Here is a list. I find them well-made with good connections and a solid, weighty feel. While at discount prices, they do not represent discount engineering. Prime Day deals run between 10%-34% off, from what I can tell.
I love the nice cloth bags for the USB-C hubs, mostly nylon cables and USB-A/C adapters where appropriate.
Memory Card Reader, 4in1 USB 3.0 and USB-C to SD Micro SD MS CF Card Reader
Supports memory stick, microSD, SDXC, CompactFlash, UHS-1, and SD Card. ($9.99 list).

USB C Docking Station, 8-in-1 USB C Hub with Triple Display Dual HDMI, VGA
Adds ports, including legacy with VGA. ($25,99 list).

BENFEI 7-in-1 USB C Hub with HDMI(4K@60Hz), 2 USB-A, 1 USB-C Data, 100W Charge, SD/TF Card Reader, Silicone Tangle-Free Cable
Appreciate the USB-C 5Gbps port which is often not a feature of mobile USB-C hubs. ($19.99 list).

Magnetic Wireless Charger 15w Compatile with MagSafe Charger
0.23-inch-thick metal case paired with a 4.9-inch nylon charging cable offers good performance with longer spanlife. ($9.99 list).

BENFEI 4K@60Hz DisplayPort to HDMI Cable, 6 feet, Aluminum Shell, Nylon Braided
Unconditional 18-month Warranty. ($9.99 list).

BENFEI USB 3.0 Hub, 4 Ports USB A
Cute and functional. I am a big fan of as much USB-C as I get get, but sometimes, you just need more USB-A, and this hub brings 4 USB-A ports to a single USB-C port. Tiny, and easy to carry. (And it’s only $6,99).
