Summary

The Torras MagStall Power Bank, priced at $59.99, stands out in the competitive power bank market due to its innovative design and practical features. Key highlights include 360° swivel stand/phone grip, MagSafe charging and solid safety features. Despite the cooling design, however, I did find that the battery ran hot enough to suspend charging when carrying it in my back pocket.

Torras MagStall Power Bank with Stand Review

In the evolving power bank market, the $59.99 Torras MagStall Power Bank emerges as an attractive contender, combining innovative design with practical functionality. The Torras portable power bank combines a thin design, USB-C charging, and MagSafe compatibility with attractive details.

What we like

Pros

  • 360° swivel stand/phone grip
  • MagSafe charging
  • Compact design with a 5000mAh battery
  • Comprehensive safety system

360° Swivel: The integration of a 360° Swivel combination stand and phone grip sets the Torras MagStall Power Bank apart from conventional chargers. and even chargers with stands. This dual-purpose design allows users to enjoy hands-free viewing from any angle, whether it’s watching videos or participating in video calls. The sturdy Aerospace-Grade matte metal stand/grip construction ensures durability while providing a secure grip. A cut-out on the ring creates a landing zone for stand stability.

Great for video chats or entertaining children at a restaurant.

Effortless Charging: Leveraging the power of neodymium magnets, this power bank eliminates the need for cumbersome charging cables, though that’s still an option. With a robust 12N attraction force, users can simply bring their phone close to the charger for automatic attachment and wireless charging. This seamless experience enhances convenience, making charging a hassle-free endeavor. Supports 15W fast charging.

Compact Yet Powerful: Despite its diminutive size, the Torras MagStall Power Bank delivers 5000mAh of battery capacity. Utilizing high-density lithium cobalt oxide cells, it achieves a 50% reduction in overall battery size compared to traditional chargers. This compact form factor makes it ideal for on-the-go use, easily slipping into pockets or bags without adding bulk. The bi-directional USB-C port delivers 20W of wired power at the same time as the 15W wireless MagSafe charger is in use. For those who need a larger capacity battery, Torras also sells a 10,000mAh battery with a similar but thicker design.

Safety First: Torras prioritizes user safety with its comprehensive safety system. From temperature control to overcharge protection and short circuit protection, every aspect is meticulously engineered to ensure a secure charging experience. Incorporating graphene technology for heat dissipation and fire-resistant ABS plastic further enhances safety, earning certifications that meet national standards.

Torras offers a 180-day warranty. The unit is available in black and white, depending on the market.

What could be improved

Cons

  • Gets a little toasty in enclosed areas

My only big complaint is heat. While I never felt like the Torras MagStall Power Bank would ignite, as its safety features, along with the iPhone heat sensors suspended charging, the battery still got hot in my back pocket while I was walking around. I would recommend not charging in an enclosed environment. Out in the open or in a well-ventilated area like a mesh pocket on a backpack, the charging experience ran much cooler.

Torras MagStall Power Bank: The bottom line

Torras MagStall Power Bank impresses with its innovative design, compact form factor, and robust safety features. Its seamless magnetic charging capabilities and versatile stand/grip functionality elevate the user experience, offering convenience without compromising safety…though I wish it ran a little cooler. For those seeking a reliable and feature-rich portable charger, the Torras Battery Pack is a compelling choice.
